Remind the enemy team that death waits for no one. In Overwatch 2 Stadium, Reaper has multiple strong builds. There are ability builds, but there are also classic weapon-focused builds to dish out as much damage as possible.

Best Reaper build in Overwatch 2 Stadium

While using Shadow Step to spam Death Blossoms can be fun, it’s not as consistent as relying on good ol’ shotguns, which is why this build focuses primarily on Weapon Damage with powers like the Revolving Ruin.
Revolving Ruin grants stacking Attack Speed when landing hits from seven meters and closer. Reaper’s Armory has a few items and powers that tie his Hellfire shotguns with the Wraith Form, ensuring the rounds in the mag hit as hard as possible.
Powers
Powers are key elements of any build in the Stadium, and unlike items, you can’t sell them. The power combination you choose will define your playstyle and performance for the match, so here are the powers to get on Reaper:
Power | Description |
---|---|
![]() Revolving Ruin | Grants five percent Attack Speed for one second, stacking up to eight times, when hitting an enemy from seven meters and closer. |
![]() Spirited to Slay | Eliminations reset cooldowns. |
![]() Shrouded Shrapnel | Using Wraith Form increases the number of pellets per shot in your next magazine by 25 percent and its spread by 50 percent. |
![]() Wraith Renewal | While in Wraith Form, restore 10 percent of your Life every second. This effect is doubled when below 50 percent Life. |
The opening power for Reaper is the Revolving Ruin. It increases your Attack Speed when landing hits at seven meters and closer, improving your overall DPS and allowing you to take advantage of Reaper’s passive more often.
Your second power should undoubtedly be Spirited to Slay. It allows you to constantly weave in and out of engagements using the Wraith Form as long as you get an elimination in between. This playstyle gets even better with the Shrouded Shrapnel, which increases the number of pellets per shot in the next mag after using Wraith Form.
If you ever get to the final round in Stadium, pick Wraith Renewal for the fourth power. It grants some extra survivability when using Wraith Form, with increased effects while below 50 percent of your health.
Items
The item loadout is quite similar to a typical Weapon Power hero build, like for Soldier: 76. There’s only one signature item, and even that can still be replaced, depending on the match.
Here are the items to aim for on Reaper:
Item | Stats | Effect |
---|---|---|
![]() The Closer | +20 percent Weapon Power +10 percent Critical Damage | Critical Hits reveal the target for three seconds. |
![]() Eye of the Spider | +25 percent Weapon Power | Deal 10 percent increased damage to targets below 30 percent Life. |
![]() Talon Modification Module | +15 percent Weapon Power | N/A |
![]() Commander’s Clip | +10 percent Attack Speed +40 percent Max Ammo | Using an ability restores 10 percent of Max Ammo. |
![]() Onslaught | +25 percent Max Ammo | Every third shot fires an additional shot that doesn’t consume ammo but deals 80 percent reduced damage. |
![]() Weapon Jammer | +25 Armor +10 percent Weapon Power | Dealing weapon damage negates 10 percent of the target’s bonus Attack Speed and increases Attack Speed by 10 percent for two seconds. |
Onslaught and Commander’s Clip maximize Hellfire Shotguns’ ammo, and because Weapon Jammer paired with the Revolving Ruin takes care of the Attack Speed, you can focus the rest on raw Weapon Damage.
Some of the classic damage items include The Closer for increased critical damage and Eye of the Spider for flat damage increase, but feel free to adjust, depending on what the enemies are using. For example, Codebreaker is great if enemies have a lot of Armor.
In the earlier rounds, pick up items that increase Weapon Power. You can also pick up items with Cooldown Reduction until you get Spirited to Slay.
