Best Reinhardt build in Overwatch 2 Stadium

Making a viable Reinhardt build requires some fine-tuning for various reasons. You’d want to keep a good balance of increasing his abilities across the board. This means improving his strongest attacks: Rocket Hammer (primary attack), Barrier Field, Charge, Fire Strike, and Earthshatter.
Reinhardt is a tank that protects squishy teammates with his barrier, but he’s also great at close-range battles. We’ve kept both of these strengths in mind with this build.
Powers
Below are our picks for Powers you should get for Reinhardt in OW2 Stadium, listed in priority order.
Power | Description |
---|---|
![]() Amplification Barrier | Friendly projectiles that pass through your Barrier Field deal 15% more damage. |
![]() Shield Stampede | 50+ Charge Knockback Power. During Charge, automatically deploy Barrier Field. |
![]() Blazing Blitz | After using Earthshatter, every Rocket Hammer swing launches a Fire Strike for 4s. |
![]() Smashing! | When you deal damage with Rocket Hammer, gain 5% Move Speed and 4% Weapon Lifesteal for 3s, stacking up to 5 times. |
Since Reinhardt needs to cover for his teammates using his shield whenever he’s not in combat, boosting that ability is critical. Amplification Barrier provides an added boost for your damage units specifically.
You’d want to attack as often when you have your shield up, so increasing his other abilities is a must. Naturally, you’d want to boost his basic attack as soon as possible, since you have no ammo limitation. Smashing! is a great choice, granting Reinhardt a much-needed boost in his speed as one of the slowest-moving tanks, along with weapon lifesteal, both of which stack.
Utilizing Smashing can lead to brilliant results because it complements Blazing Blitz. Both enhance the power of Reinhardt’s primary attack, and Blazing Blitz is especially important to ensure his ultimate can potentially turn the tide of battle. This is regardless of having to strategize with teammates’ other abilities and ultimates. As long as you’ve downed most of the enemy team, Reinhardt can deliver final blows thanks to stat boosts against various potential shields, armor, and health boosts in your enemy’s builds.

Our listed items all consider boosting a variety of Reinhardt’s stats. Aim for unlocking the cheaper items first, since you’ll need to accumulate enough credit to unlock the rest in later rounds.
The biggest consideration has been put on Rocket Hammer, his primary attack, and other abilities. Any health boosting effects are added bonus since your supports should focus on putting out more heals over anything else.
Since our build is centered around primary attacking and shielding, we focus on items that allow for faster barrier regeneration and give benefits from dealing primary attack damage. Also, you have to improve Reinhardt’s attack speed, and Plan Z is ideal for this.
