Best Soldier 76 build in Overwatch 2 Stadium

There are a couple of ways to build Soldier: 76, but everything comes down to the Super Visor power that grants Tactical Visor for 0.75 seconds after using a Helix Rocket. While this build focuses on Weapon Power and Heavy Pulse Rifle’s damage, you can also build into Helix Rockets and Ability Power.
One of the main things to focus on with this build is Cooldown Reduction. A lower cooldown on the Helix Rocket means higher uptime on the Super Visor, so you can easily auto-aim targets. Several items in this build also benefit from constantly using your abilities.
Powers
You can equip a new power on rounds one, three, five, and seven. Unless the match is super sweaty, you usually won’t have more than three, so here’s a list of powers for Soldier: 76 in order of priority and importance to the build:
Power | Description |
---|---|
![]() Super Visor | After using a Helix Rocket, activate Tactical Visor for 0.75 seconds. |
![]() Double Helix | Helix Rocket fires a second homing Helix Rocket that deals 70 percent reduced damage. |
![]() Peripheral Pulse | During Tactical Visor, Pulse Rifle shoots at one additional enemy, dealing 50 percent damage. |
![]() Hunker Down | When Helix Rocket deals damage, create a Biotic Field with a 70 percent reduced duration at your position. |
The Super Visor is a core of this build and is a must for the first round. It allows you to easily target flying and fast-moving enemies, like Juno, even if your aim isn’t the best.
While this build focuses on the Heavy Pulse Rifle and Weapon Power, Double Helix has a powerful synergy with the Hardlight Accelerator item for increased Weapon Power. A homing missile is also a nice bonus to have during a teamfight.
The third core power is the Peripheral Pulse. It allows you to attack two enemies at once when using Tactical Visor, and it synergizes with the Super Visor. This means that every time you fire a Helix Rocket, you can briefly auto-aim at two enemies.
Your last power is more situational. Hunker Down creates a Biotic Field at your location with a 70 percent reduced duration. This works well with the focus on ability cooldowns and the Double Helix power that guarantees you land a hit.
Alternatively, you can go for something like the Chaingun. It grants Weapon Power for continuous fire, but reloading or using an ability resets the stacks. It’s still a decent power; it just doesn’t have as much synergy as the rest.
Items
Picking up the right items is crucial for the build to work. For Soldier: 76, you want items that increase Weapon Power, Attack Speed, and Cooldown Reduction.
Here are the endgame items to aim for on Soldier: 76:
Item | Stats | Effect |
---|---|---|
![]() Hardlight Accelerator | +10 percent Weapon Power +10 percent Cooldown Reduction | When you use an ability, gain five percent Weapon Power for three seconds, stacking up to three times. |
![]() Pulse Converter | +5 percent Attack Speed +5 percent Cooldown Reduction | When you use a Helix Rocket, restore 20 percent of your ammo. |
![]() Eye of the Spider | +25 percent Weapon Power | Deal 10 percent increased damage to targets below 30 percent Life. |
![]() El-Sa’Ka Suppressor | +10 percent Weapon Power | Critical Hits apply 30 percent Healing Reduction to the target for two seconds. |
![]() Commander’s Clip | +10 percent Attack Speed +40 percent Max Ammo | Using an ability restores 10 percent of Max Ammo. |
![]() Icy Coolant | +10 percent Weapon Power +5 percent Cooldown Reduction | N/A |
Hardlight Accelerator grants five percent Weapon Power per ability use for three seconds, stacking up to three times. The core synergy here is with Double Helix, as the homing rocket counts as a separate ability, instantly granting you two stacks when using a Helix Rocket.
The rest of the items prioritize Weapon Power and Cooldown Reduction for maximum damage and Helix Rocket uptime, respectively. Depending on who you’re up against, consider using items like Codebreaker to ignore armor’s damage reduction or Ironclad Exhaust Ports for more survivability.
In the early to mid-game, focus on items that increase Weapon Power, Attack Speed, and Max Ammo just the same. Compensator, Weapon Grease, and Ammo Reserves are solid for a starting loadout that you can then sell and start buying core items.
