How to complete The Baron’s Big Deal in Fortnite

Diago is attempting to go inside Fortnite’s spirit realm portal again, and Fletcher Kane is patrolling the area. Your task is simple: locate the portal and defeat the Baron to help Diago in his mission to challenge the demons in the spirit realm.

The Baron Big Deal Fortnite quest has two simple challenges that you need to complete and earn experience points to unlock battle pass rewards before the season ends: 

Witness Daigo and Fletcher Kane’s scheme to enter the portal

You can witness Daigo and Fletcher Kane’s scheme to enter the portal by simply visiting the portal located north-east of the Magic Mosses point of interest. Once the match starts, you should see a red light in this location, which makes it very easy to spot the portal. Follow the light and land near Daigo as he performs his ritual. Once you go near him, it should complete the quest, and you should have another challenge in your hands. 

Defeat the Baron before Daigo can enter the portal

To defeat the Baron, you need to have a bunch of weapons at your disposal because the boss is dangerous and uses his Double Down pistol to deal damage to you. While you might think that getting closer to him might make him miss his shots, he simply pulls out his baseball bat and hits you, so avoid going near him. Maintain your distance, and you should be able to break his 700 shields with ranged weapons such as Assault rifles and Snipers. 

Once the shields are cracked, Baron will reveal his next form, where he gets red and embraces his wolf side. He can jump on you from a distance and use his sharp claws to deal an enormous amount of damage to you. At this point, you’d want to pull out your shotgun and SMG to rail him down and purposely fully dodge his attacks to stay healthy. He also howls sometimes, which makes him vulnerable to fire, but he also reveals your position to other players. 

After you eliminate him, you can collect his Medallion and mythic weapon and watch Daigo make his way inside the spirit realm portal. While it didn’t end well for him last time, he should be better equipped to deal with the demons now. 

As the fight happens in an area surrounded by trees, it’s very easy for enemies to camp your area and eliminate you before you take down the boss. So, we recommend that you scan the area thoroughly, and Baron’s howl also helps you do that to take down those pesky players to complete the quest. If someone else eliminates the boss, it doesn’t complete your quest. 

Apart from the rewards, you also get to see a cinematic after leaving the match, where Big Dill and The Brat enter the Thousand Faces shop to find Daigo’s mask kept on the table. While looting other gold-related items, they spot a mysterious, shadowy figure sneaking up behind them. While we don’t know much about this figure, it may be connected to the game’s next season, which is based on Star Wars, and will start after the watch party finishes.
