How to play Dune: Awakening beta?

To play Dune: Awakening beta, you have to head to the game’s official Steam page, log in with your account, scroll down, and hit the Request Access button.

The devs have confirmed that they are “granting access in waves” after closely monitoring server performance and some other metrics. So, in case you don’t get access immediately, wait for some time and keep checking your Steam client if you’ve got access.

What’s in the Dune: Awakening large-scale beta?

Unlike the previous beta, the Dune: Awakening large-scale beta is completely NDA-free. That means you can record gameplay and upload it on YouTube, or livestream it directly to Twitch, or make any type of content as you feel like.

Apart from that, you get to enjoy the first 20 to 25 hours of gameplay, which starts from the early game and ends at the early mid-game. This includes the majority of Act 1.

You can also:

  • Create your character.
  • Crash into Arrakis, and survive sandworms, sun, and roaming bandits along with other players.
  • Choose the School of the Imperium you want to follow first.
  • Craft a shelter, your first weapon, and a sandbike.
  • Build with the CHOAM Building Set.
  • Explore the following regions:
    • Hagga Basin South Region
    • Eastern and Western Vermillius Gap Region
