2K Games and Hangar 13 have finally unveiled the gameplay for Mafia: The Old Country and several details about its release later this year. The Unreal Engine 5 title is coming soon to PCs and current-generation consoles, and we’ve now gotten our first look at its technical aspects.
Here are the complete system requirements for the PC version of Mafia: The Old Country, so you can prepare ahead of its release.
Mafia The Old Country PC system requirements
Minimum | Recommended | |

The requirements have shared two resolution targets, 1080p and 1440p. I assume this is native resolution and not upscaled; otherwise, it should be mentioned. If you’re aiming for 1440p, you’ll need something like an RTX 3080 Ti paired with a Ryzen 7 5800X to ideally get 60 FPS at the high preset.
It’s a demanding game for sure, but like every other Unreal Engine 5 release, it should have a good selection of upscaling technologies available at launch, I hope. On the 1080p side, an RTX 2070 is recommended for the medium preset. An SSD is required, no matter what system you play this on, and only 55 GB of free space is needed to install Mafia: The Old Country.

Mafia: The Old Country is using Unreal Engine 5, which raises some alarm bells and inevitable stuttering, but it makes sense because their last major release, Mafia: Definitive Edition, was developed on Unreal Engine 4. I just hope that this runs nearly as good as that one and doesn’t have a lot of stuttering.
Mafia The Old Country PC release date
Mafia: The Old Country is coming to PC, Xbox Series S|X, and PS5 on Aug. 8, 2025.
Mafia: The Old Country is shaping up to be a promising new entry in the narrative-heavy crime thriller series, and I hope that it’s a technically impressive showcase on PC as well. Unreal Engine 5 titles have a reputation of being overly demanding and prone to stutters, but the team at Hanger 13 has been largely successful at avoiding those in their last major release.
