The commander of the First Order’s stormtroopers, Captain Phasma, has landed on the Fortnite island. This tough veteran first appears in The Force Awakens but now serves as a boss NPC in the Fortnite world. Defeat her to get your hands on the mythic F-11D Blaster and her Blaster Medallion.
How to defeat Captain Phasma in Fortnite Chapter 6 season 3
You will find Captain Phasma at the First Order Base, northeast of the Fortnite island, just north of where Demon’s Dojo used to lie. This intimidating hangar is atop a snowy mountain, with five entrances, including a sneaky utility shaft.
Before attempting to take on Captain Phasma, you need to load up with shields and weapons, not forgetting ammo if you’re not using a blaster. Make sure you have a few different weapons to switch between, so you don’t find yourself without any means of attack in the middle of a fight. There are a few points outside the main building where you can loot chests and find weapons and other items. Of course, if you are brave, you can land right on top of the base and loot as you fight off stormtroopers.
Once fully kitted out, track down Captain Phasma by looking for her icon on the map. She is usually inside the base, guarded by stormtroopers. Don’t forget to watch your back, as other players will also want to fight Captain Phasma.
The captain is equipped with her mythic Blaster and Thermal Imploders, an explosive grenade that deals a good amount of damage. Keep moving to avoid her blaster shots, and watch out for any Thermal Imploders being tossed your way. You may need to heal up mid-fight, so find a safe place before heading back into the fight. Captain Phasma will chase you down, breaking down any defensive structures with her pickaxe or with Thermal Imploders.
Once defeated, the captain will drop her mythic F-11D Blaster and the Captain’s Blaster Medallion. With the Medallion, you will gain the ability to use your Blaster for longer, and the cooldown after overheating will be reduced.
