I’m a big fan of ravens. Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven is a banger of a poem, and the birds are just wild. They can live to over 20 years, and they’re absolutely massive. I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of one of those bad boys.
But which League of Legends champion says, “The raven was a portent. Their time had come?” I have the answer to the May 8 LoLdle.

LoLdle quote May 8 hints
Hint 1: This champion hit the live servers in 2010.
This League champion is old in more than one way. They weren’t part of the original roster but were released just a year later. They’ve been updated over the years and undergone a transformation. They’re still not a meta pick, but their pick rate has improved over the last few years.
Hint 2: This champion is a support.
Right now, pretty much everyone is playing this champion as a support, but they’re traditionally a mid or top laner. Only in recent years have they transitioned to the support position. Having said that, despite their pick rate, they have a poor win rate in the bot lane.
Hint 3: This champion is old.
This champion looks old. I don’t think Riot Games has confirmed their age, but they’re basically an old man. They stumble around with a walking stick and have long, white hair. They could easily be someone’s aging dad.
Still need help? We have the answer.
Who says “The raven was a portent. Their time had come”?

Answer: The champion who says “The raven was a portent. Their time had come” is Gragas, the Noxian Grand General.
Who else but Swain? This old man is basically best friends with birds. He controls a flock of ravens to dish out damage to his opponents. He even grows wings when he uses his ultimate. He’s just in love with ravens.
How many guesses did it take you to get to Swain? Let us know in the comments below and check back tomorrow for the next LoLdle puzzle!
